Solar Panel Powered Cooling Unit Using a Buck Converter

Yashowardhan Kashive

Abstract

The Paper aims to develop a circuit model of a cooling unit called Peltier unit which is powered by a solar panel using a dc- dc step down converter known as buck converter. Finally the results are tested using a Linear Technologies circuit simulation software which have proven the effectiveness of the system developed. The cooling unit is which is portable and requires less power can be used anywhere to keep certain things cool especially in areas where electricity shortage is a big problem and so using this module in such areas can be highly beneficial.
