Analysis of plain Concrete pavement in ANSYS

Abstract

The concrete pavement is modeled and anlysed using ANSYS 11.0. The finite element analysis of concrete pavement is very essential for the proper analysis and design. The elements for the base, sub base and subgrade should be properly given the parameters like modulus of elasticity, poisson’s ratio, density and thermal coefficient. In the present research paper the stress, strain and forces are mentioned in the tabular form as well as the stress, strain and forces for the X, Y & Z component are mentioned. The results for the concrete pavement model is mentioned in detail. The ANSYS is very good tool for the finite element analysis of plain concret pavement.
