Impacts of the Built Environment on Human Health: A Study of the Design Issues for the Individual Building and Immediate Environment
Abstract
Built environment has a vital impact on human health. This impact could be different depending on the age of the people. This paper draws together the key findings from a diverse evidence base which demonstrates how the spaces and built environment in which we work, play and live, can affect our health. Here, this has been tried to summarize and highlight the ways through which the built environment can influence our health. It shows the prominent evidence in order to stimulate dialogue between peoples from different sectors. Variations between the experiences of different groups of people are also highlighted throughout the paper along with focusing the design and maintenance of buildings as well as their location can influence health.
