A Study of Experimental Tests on Shear Wall in Dual Structural System of Tall Buildings

Abstract

The design of tall buildings has become possible pertaining to the knowledge gained through the experimental findings on various structural elements through the course of time. The understanding of the seismic response and material properties of shear wall has made it possible to use it efficiently in tall building and other structures.  This paper presents an overview of the various experimental research works performed on shear walls to understand their structural behaviour and other aspects.
