Security and Deployment Issues in E-Business

Abstract


E-business has become a trend setter in today’s business environment. E-business is dependent on several factors for its effective functioning. These effective factors are availability, modifiability, performance, security and usability. If any company wants to do its business electronically; it needs to have a check on these factors to provide reliable services to the customers. Functionality is defined as the ability to perform the given task at its best. The quality factor in E-business can be achieved from idea generation stage through design stage and finally deployment stage with a keen observation with reference to the quality factors. In the earlier scenario, only viruses and the worms used to infect computer system but now E-business server has to be protected from malicious software and the programs. There are plenty of security issues, which are to be resolved while deploying the same in E-business and these factors are confidentiality, integrity and reliability in E-business. E-business has its own advantage and growing year-on-year but at the same time it made customers to look into the risk factors associated with e- business, hence E-business has to undergo necessary considerations to avoid the misconception of the ever growing technology. E-business involves sending information between business servers to the customers hence data has to be protected from theft, malware, intruder, hackers, viruses etc. In this context, this conceptual paper focuses on security and deployment issues with a special emphasis on E-business.
