Abstract

A band reject filter is used to suppress a particular unwanted dominant noise signal in the system. This paper describes design of micro strip band stop filter on aluminum substrate of 10 mil thick having dielectric constant 9.6.The filter is designed with center frequency of 11.2 GHz using L type resonators. A 6th Order L type resonator based band stop filter is realized for more than 40dB loss in the stop band with a narrow bandwidth of 0.2 GHz.
