Smart Energy Management with Automation of Power Switching using Source and Load Prioritization
Abstract
In this project, an effective home energy management is done. It intended to provide 24 hour back up to the domestic appliances by using renewable energy, commercial ac supply or UPS depending on the availability. Renewable energy is given main priority to drive load. If the renewable energy demand is not met, some loads can automatically switch to alternative sources like ac supply or UPS. If the renewable energy is sufficient, in addition to drive all loads, it is used to store UPS battery. To do effective load prioritization and switching of the sources, microcontroller controlled relay circuit is designed here. In future, the same project is planned to designed and implemented for industrial loads.
