Dynamic Failure Mode and Effect Analysis of Driving Mechanism of Planner

T.S. Ayyappan, B. Shanmugasundaram

Abstract

On this paper the failure evaluation and optimization of horizontal mechanism in horizontal planning device rack and pinion arrangement is want for the interpretation movement. The relative movement among the constant and movable bed are be in friction with the capability of V manual ways. And the force of this mechanism is rack and pinion arrangement. In widespread, wear accruing in V-courses approaches and force mechanism are not same. in order that, the version of the wear quantity should be have an effect on the surface degree of to be machined thing. The failure is rectified to enforcing the new mechanism (association) in pushed part of the horizontal mechanism. the main concept of this paper is the floor stage of the machined aspect needs to be fine. The modification of the mechanism is to change the location of gear rack and pinion. In existing the tools teeth is in horizontal and crosswise to the manual approaches. rather than that, the tools enamel is perpendicular to the manual approaches. If the damage passed off in this changed one, the gear enticing length will extended. there may be no risk to disturb in addendum and dedundum of this mechanism.
