Concrete With Nanoparticles: The New Age Concrete

Abstract

Concrete, the most ubiquitous material in the world, is a nano-structured, multi-phase, composite material that ages over time. There have been several successful attempts to control concrete properties, performance, and degradation processes for a superior concrete and to provide the material with new functions and smart properties. One of the latest approach has been the addition of nanoparticles. In the present paper the effect of addition of different nanoparticles and their acceptance in construction industry have been discussed has been studied.
