Dc Motor Speed Contol Techniques

Abstract


This paper gives the idea about different techniques used for speed controlling of dc motor. Even the maintenance cost is higher than the Induction motor dc motor is widely used in industry. These controllers are used in different areas like processor control, manufacturing, automation, aerospace, etc. PID parameters have great effect on stability and performance of control system. Because of its salient features like reliability, wide range of torque-speed control range, efficiency, high starting torque DC motors are used in wide range. Speed control of DC motor is either done manually by the operator or by means of some automatic control devices. PWM based speed control system consist of electronic components like integrated circuits, sensors, etc.
