Low Level Material Handling Applications using GSM based Wireless Controlled Robot

Dr. Radhika Sajja, D. Neha Krishna, D. Swapna

Abstract

Material Handling (MH) today needs to make use of the latest technological components. In recent years, there is dire need for the development of robotics and communication on a large scale. Our work is simultaneously using both the technologies. The present paper presents the design and explains how an authentic wireless communication can easily be developed and used as an effective low scale MH system. The current paper also explains the implementation of a developed MH system that is developed between a mobile phone and a microcontroller using Global System for Mobile communication (GSM). This system offers a complete low cost and yet a powerful GSM controlled robot. The user can remotely control the appliance using a cell phone through GSM modem. The main aim of the present work is to design an SMS electronic controlled Robot which can replace the traditional Robot Control Devices. The robot receives the SMS along with the password, validates the password sent and information if it is correct then it will perform necessary actions.
