A Comparative Study of Design Procedures for Pre Engineering Buildings and Conventional Steel Buildings of a Warehouse by Using Staad.Pro

Dr. H. Eramma, Mr K S Madhusoodan, Mr Madhukaran

Abstract

In recent years the introduction of the pre-engineered buildings (PEB) concept in the design of structures made and designs in a much optimized way. The adoptability PEB (Tapered sections) in the place of conventional steel building (CSB) with different roof trusses (regular steel sections), design concept resulted many advantages including economy, easier fabrication, consumption of Erection time and speed of construction etc. This particular study includes design procedure of both PEB and CSB buildings by considering a storage building with an aid of STAAD.Pro software.
