Analysis of the velocity and stress profiles of the downburst wind on different surfaces
Abstract
intense thunderstorms are important weather phenomenon which impact on numerous aspects of countrywide interest like civil and protection operation, in particular aviation, area automobile launching, agriculture similarly to its harm potential to lifestyles and houses. Experimental and numerical simulation studies on thunderstorm downburst had been pronounced through many researchers all through the beyond two a long time. Axisymmetric numerical code has been evolved to simulate the downburst wind through the use of the vorticity-stream formula, with LES for the turbulence. in addition a microburst simulator has been fabricated with a one hundred sixty five mm diameter nozzle to generate experimental facts for the translational downburst.
