Performance Investigation of VCRS system using diffuser at the inlet of compressor

Hemang Rajnikant Dhamelia

Abstract

This paper gives the concept of vapour compression refrigeration system the use of diffuser to improve the coefficient of performance of device. To enhance the coefficient of performance, it's miles require that compressor paintings need to lower and refrigerating effect ought to growth. Diffuser is the static device. It increases the stress of flowing fluid by way of changing its kinetic energy. In vapour compression refrigeration machine, to keep away from the troubles of high speed refrigerant one of the manner is to use diffuser at condenser inlet. It smoothly decelerates the incoming refrigerant drift attaining minimal stagnation strain losses and maximizes static strain restoration. Due to stress healing, at equal refrigerating impact compressor has to do much fewer paintings. Hence, power consumption of the compressor might be decreased which ends up development in device performance.
