Abstract

Pultrusion is the manufacturing procedure for generating fiber strengthened composites with steady pass sectional profiles comparatively at low value. There are numerous parameters which affect the properties of pultruded fiber strengthened polymer (FRP) composite. in the gift paintings three parameters i.e. pulling pace, die temperature and weight % of calcium carbonate in polyester resin as filler to optimize the flexural power of jute fiber strengthened polymer (JFRP). Pultrusion of JFRP composite strip is carried out on indigenous pultrusion setup.Taguchi l9 orthogonal array is used for design of experiment and ANOVA is carried out for analysis of result. It has been observed that as the die temperature increases from 1750c Flexural strength decreases while flexural strength of pultruded JFRP first increases and then decreases with increase in pulling speed and % weight content of CaCO3. The optimum level of all three parameter gives 142 MPa flexural strength of pultruded JFRP composite.
