MECHANICAL AND DURABILITY STUDIES USING POLYPROPYLENE FIBER AND QUARRY DUST IN CONCRETE

Rabindranath Ghosh

Abstract

As conventional concrete has become pricey and scarce River sand, which is one of the constituents used in the output of due to depletion of river bed. Quarry dust is a waste incur during quarrying process. In the present study, the use of quarry dust as the fine aggregate drop-off the cost of concrete production in terms of  the complete replacement for natural river sand. In this research the experimental study is carried out the influence of 0% to 100% replacement of sand with quarry dust. The weakness in tension can be get over by the use of conventional rod reinforcement and to some extent by the inclusion of a adequate volume of certain fibers; various proportions of polypropylene fiber are taken to check  the properties of concrete. The objective of this is to increase the strength of concrete, Mechanical and durability studies using polypropylene fiber and quarry dust. To use the industrial waste quarry dust as replacement of fine aggregate
