Hemanth Kumar. H.B, Kemparaju. H. R, Nandan S Rao

Abstract

The main objective of this study was to explore weight reduction opportunities for C-70 Steel and Carbon Fibers connecting rod. This involves carrying out a definite load analysis. Hence this investigation has managed two subjects, to begin with, static load analysis of the connecting-rod, and second, improvement for weight. So initially a Finite Element Model is produced utilizing Cad program Pro/E Wildfire 5.0. At that point the FE Analysis is done to decide the deformation in the current connecting-rod for the given loading environment utilizing ANSYS workbench. In the initial segment of the paper, the static-loads acting over the connecting rod, after that the work is done for material advancement with carbon fiber.
