The ballistic Behaviour of the two high performance composite materials

Prakash kumar, Geeta rani

Abstract

The ballistic overall performance of Dyneema® HB26 and Spectra® 3124 subjected to excessive pace impact of metallic and copper Fragment Simulating Projectiles end up evaluated. A 3-d high pace digital image Correlation became used for size of the panels the front face deformation and the once more face deformation. The records acquired from the measurements, together with the post-mortem declaration of the panels, allowed to draw conclusions with respect to the significance of severa electricity dissipation mechanisms that occurred in the examined substances. It turned into determined that, notwithstanding the truth that Dyneema® HB26 and Spectra® 3124 deform very in some other manner in the course of the effect occasion, that they had a similar ballistic performance.
