Traffic Volume Count Survey At Pilikothi Intersection In Moradabad City

Abstract

Traffic volume study is a very crucial and important part of our system. We are facing problems in traffic congestions. Due to growing population density of vehicle is increasing day by day. In the present scenario traffic congestion is one of the main challenges for engineers, planners and policy makers in urban areas.The main focus of this study is aimed to understand the traffic management, its measurement and mitigation. In present study we have done classified volume count survey at Pilikothi intersection in Moradabad city. Volume of traffic was classified majorly as cars, two wheelers, heavy vehicles, other motorised vehicles such as auto rickshaws, light commercial vehicles, etc.
