Study of compressive strength of concrete using recycled aggregate as fresh aggregate and paraffin wax as self curing agent

Aprajita Singh, Urmil yadav

Abstract

Properly cured concrete has improved durability and surface hardness that makes concrete less permeable which makes it more resistant to damping. Good and complete curing is not always practically possible due to many reasons, particularly for high grade concretes. This problem can be solved by using self curing agents. This study proposes the use of paraffin wax as self curing agent and use of recycled aggregate to study the compressive strength characteristics of concrete.
