Barbiturates: Tranquilizers

S. Sreeremya

Abstract

Barbiturates are minor tranquilizer. Commonly prescribes minor tranquilizers name is Phenobarbiturates. It is the much older tranquilizer, which act on the central neural system and act as depressant. The signs and symptoms after the consumption of barbiturates or barbiturate derivatives is quiet similar to that of alcoholics. This paper discusses the impact of barbiturates and non barbiturates in the human system and their functioning properties.
