A Study to Assess The Level Of Stress And Coping Strategies Adopted By Parents Of The Neonates Admitted In NICU In Selected Hospitals, Bangalore

Abstract


The present study assessed the level of stress and coping strategies adopted by the parents of the neonates admitted in NICU. The result revealed that majority (55%) of the subjects had moderate level of stress and 73.33% had moderately adequate coping strategies. Demographic variables have no influence on the level of stress of parents of the neonates admitted in NICU. But the Age, Type of family and weeks of gestation stream may be a significant factor in determining the level of stress and coping strategies of parents of the neonates admitted in NICU.
