An Approach to PLC based Automatic Transformer cooling system

Pranobjyoti Lahon, Deepjyoti Talukdar, Dibyahash Sarmah

Abstract

Automatic control in various fields has reduced not only human labor but also increased efficiency and reliability. With the advancement in technology human labor has decreased to a large extent. This paper mainly focuses on designing a model for efficient cooling system for overcoming heating and insulation losses. PLC is used ideally for online monitoring and data recording. A cooling system based on Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is
proposed. The problem of manual transformer cooling system can be eradicated by automatically switching between the cooling banks. This cooling system uses a Panasonic PLC FPO4 C16 as the control element.
