Efficient Water Recharge Unit With the help of rain water harvesting) Agra City

Abstract


Many commercial and residential Places face the problem of ponding of rain water on the road during rains. It creates many problems in daily routine during rains which is cause of business loss. It also damages the road surface and reduces the durability of the road. The Ponding of rain water on also is cause of water pollution, breeding of insects and diseases.

If we consider Sanjay palace Soor- Sadan AGRA .then we can see the rainfall record on 4th Oct 2013 in 12 hr there was 141mm of rain which caused the loss of 60cr to the public.To attack the problems of ponding of rain water at such places, we plan a project of “Efficient water recharge unit” with the help of rain water harvesting. This project consists of water, simple treatment of water and then passing water to the ground water table through pipe of various sizes as per the requirement. The unit design is capable of removing suspended solids, bacteria, colour and odour from ponding of water on roads and roofs of building and makes it suitable to mix with ground water table to increase water level. The adoption of such approach will result in:   

  •  Protecting the environment from pollution caused by ponding of rain water.
  • Providing a better management of rain water.
  • Contributing an increase of ground water table.
  • Rain water harvesting.
  • Contributing in the economy and sustainability
  • Prevent water from evaporation and runoff of rain water
  • It controls decline trend of underground water level.
  • It prevents rain water from mixing with waste water from domestic purpose or industries.
  • To continue the sustainability of water sources.

It can reduce the soil erosion and damaging of road pavement.
